PRIZES AND AWARDS
Announcing new recognition for all Encore participants…
In an attempt to give every Encore performer special recognition, we will now be presenting Special Performance award ribbons to all dancers. Every participant will receive a Diamond, Platinum, Gold, or Silver recognition in addition to the
1st – 5th placement in every category. As always, every category with more than 5 entries will be split into smaller divisions
to provide more dancers with higher placement. We are not changing our Awards- just making them better!
2012 Grand Finals Overall Awards
The following awards are presented in the Petite, Junior, Teen, Senior & Elite Divisions at every Finals:
Top Solo - $100 Cash, two column trophy, and Encore Pin
2nd Place - $50 Gift Certificate, trophy, and Encore Pin
3rd Place - $25 Gift Certificate, trophy, and Encore Pin
Top Super Soloist - $100 Cash, two column large trophy, Encore pin and Super Solo Jacket
2nd Place - $50 Gift Certificate, trophy, and Encore Pin

Top Duet/Trio - $100 Cash, two column large trophy, and Encore pins for all participants

At Encore DCS, we feel that EVERYONE should be recognized for their achievement in performing on stage. We also believe in the true spirit of competition by only recognizing one first place in each category. If someone competes in a category without competition, they must earn a minimum score to
receive 1st Place. Otherwise, they will be recognized with a 2nd Place. The following is an explanation of
the scoring system used at our Regional Events based on a 100 Point Scale by a panel of 3 judges.
(NOTE: At our Grand Finals, entries will be critiqued by 4 judges and the lowest score will be dropped)
